Surrogates
What is a surrogate?
A surrogate is someone that agrees to carry a pregnancy for another family. This family could be a couple or an individual who is unable to carry the pregnancy on their own. The child is not biologically related to the surrogate.
Surrogates help others become parents despite circumstances that prevent them from carrying a pregnancy on their own. Infertility or underlying health conditions may make a pregnancy dangerous. Same-sex couples that wish to have a biological child may also pursue the help of a surrogate.
